This document contains information about what personal data we process, especially concerning our customers and website users, whether we process the data based on consent or another legal basis, for what purposes we use them, to whom we may transfer them, and what rights you have in connection with the processing of your personal data.

In connection with fulfilling its information obligations pursuant to Article 13 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data (the “Regulation”), repealing Directive 95/46/EC, and Section 19 of Act No. 18/2018 Coll. on the Protection of Personal Data (the “Personal Data Protection Act”), the controller provides the data subject with the stated purpose. Otherwise, it is not possible to conclude a contract in which the data subject has expressed interest.

Within our activities, we process personal data for various purposes and to various extents, either without your consent or based on your consent.

B. What personal data do we process?

When you use our services, we collect various types of data, such as your username and password, contact details, and other settings.

We monitor which products you view on our website and from which device, what content from our email offers interests you, and we derive additional data to show you tailored offers and improve our website in the future. If you make a purchase or create an account, we also process your identification and contact data, order details, and settings within your account.

When you visit our website, we use cookies. If you make a purchase, we store your identification and contact details and order information based on our legitimate interest (without your consent) for the purpose of protecting legal claims and internal records and control.

Our legitimate interests include the protection of legal claims and ensuring proper service delivery. If we are required to comply with a legal obligation, we process your personal data for this reason as well.

On this legal basis (without your consent), we process your identification and contact data and order data to comply with the following laws in particular:

  • Act No. 40/1964 Coll. Civil Code

  • Act No. 250/2007 Coll. on Consumer Protection

  • Act No. 102/2014 Coll. on Consumer Protection in Distance Selling

  • Act No. 431/2002 Coll. on Accounting

  • Act No. 222/2004 Coll. on Value Added Tax

If you are the recipient of goods or services ordered from us, we process your identification and contact data:
a) based on legitimate interest for preparation, conclusion, and performance of a contract
b) to fulfill legal obligations
c) to protect legal claims and for internal records and control

If you communicate with us via email, chat tools, or social media, we process your identification and contact data and communication records:
a) based on legitimate interest or contract performance
b) for record-keeping and compliance control
c) to demonstrate receipt and handling of your request

We process the following personal data:

  1. Identification data (name, surname, username, password, Company ID, VAT ID)

  2. Contact data (email, phone number, delivery and billing address, social media contact)

  3. Account settings and preferences

  4. Order data (products, delivery, payment details, complaints)

  5. Website behavior data (viewed products, clicks, IP address, device and browser data, cookies)

D. Recipients of personal data

Recipients include: external accountants, IT services, banks, occupational safety providers, Google LLC, and state authorities (tax office, social insurance, health insurance, courts, law enforcement authorities, etc.).

For order fulfillment, personal data may also be shared with:

  • payment service providers (e.g., Shoptet, a.s.)

  • shipping partners

With your consent, personal data may also be shared with advertising and social media platforms such as Google Ireland Limited and Facebook Ireland Limited.

E. Cross-border data transfers

Personal data is not transferred outside the EU unless you consent to analytical cookies. In such cases, data may be transferred to the USA via Google Analytics.

F. Data retention period

Personal data is stored for the period required by law to exercise rights and obligations arising from contracts. Data may be stored longer for archiving, scientific, historical, or statistical purposes as permitted by law.

G. Automated decision-making and profiling

We do not perform automated individual decision-making or profiling.

H. Rights of the data subject

You have the right to:

  • access your personal data

  • rectification of inaccurate data

  • erasure of personal data

  • restriction of processing

  • object to processing

  • withdraw consent at any time

  • data portability

  • lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority

Requests may be submitted in writing or electronically to info@piercinger.com.
Complaints may also be submitted to the Data Protection Authority of the Slovak Republic.
